117系（和歌山色） 京阪神地区での新快速として使用せれていた153系の置き換えの為昭和54年（1979年）に登場しました。 その後、後継の221系、223系の登場により本線での運用から外れローカル運用に就いていきました。 本モデルはその中の和歌山線・紀勢本線で活躍した和歌山色を再現しています。
