mod

6-bit Color

by Technotoad64

Retextures everything to be in 6-bit color depth, as seen on the Sega Master System and a few retro computers. Every RGB value is either nothing, one-third, two-thirds, or full, for a total of 64 possible colors. Credit to Jackeloko for the carried equipment sprites. Check out his version at

Frequently asked

How do I install 6-bit Color?

Install the matching loader first, then put the downloaded file in your mods folder and start the game. The loader, the mod and Crypt of the NecroDancer all have to be on the same version, which is the usual reason a mod does not appear in game.

Where do I download 6-bit Color safely?

From the author's own page on Steam Workshop, which is where the data here is synced from. IndexGG never mirrors, re-hosts or repackages a file: every download button points at the original source, so you get exactly what the author published.

Which Crypt of the NecroDancer versions does 6-bit Color work on?

The author has not declared a supported version in the metadata we sync, so there is nothing here we can state as fact. Check the project's own page before installing it, and treat an old mod with no declared version as untested on modern Crypt of the NecroDancer.

Last checked 13 d ago against Steam Workshop. We do not host files and we do not republish descriptions; every download link points at the author’s own release.
