解放战争时期中国人民解放军在辽宁省塔山地区阻击国民党军队的作战。辽沈战役中，蒋介石以11个师组成东进兵团驰援锦州。解放军东北野战军以2个纵队（东北野战军第4，第11纵队）又2个独立师（冀热辽军区独立第4，第6师）在塔山（今属辽宁省葫芦岛市）地区阻击。1948年10月10日-15日，东北野战军第四纵队在司令员吴克华、政治委员莫文骅的指挥下，连续打退东进兵团在海空军配合下的多次进攻，毙伤俘敌6600余人，在友邻部队协同下完成阻击任务，保障主力攻克锦州。 1948年9月12日发起了辽沈战役，战役计划是首先打下锦州，消灭锦州守敌，封闭东北敌人南逃通路。为了挽救东北败局，蒋介石亲自出马，奔走在北平...
