第七次艦隊整備計画下で設計された最新鋭戦艦。命名は常陸国より。 兵装は五十センチ砲と光学式対空砲といずれもNR技研においては搭載実績のないものであり、兵装実験艦としての側面もある。 特に光学式対空砲はさらなる防空能力の向上が見込まれ、今後の艦船設計を左右するのではないかと期待される。 「現代戦艦」という一つの大きな課題のもと兵装の大幅な見直しも行われ、一見すると挑戦的な一隻と思われるが、その武装配置はいたって保守・古典的ともいえるものであり、上層部からは「新品のスーツを着た骨董品」「リノベーション物件と言えば何でも許されると思うな」などと言われている。 追記：レーザー砲身カバー修正 再配...
