アイオワ級とリシュリュー級を足して三分の二位にしたところに欲望という名の現代兵装を詰め込んだ戦艦です。砲以外のすべての重要区画を水面下に収めたので抗堪性は高めとなっており主砲も鉄2HA1の複合装甲+鉄1HA1とかなり厚め(当設計局基準)になりました。406mm四連装磁気火薬複合加速砲3機12門を搭載して火力もそこそこあります。
