KT8A3是继A2而来的又一改进型号，其最大的提升是采用了双层方向机底座，减少了炮塔与车体之间的连接被动能冲击摧毁的可能性，在反复的打击测试中，坎星军备局的工程师们发现A2型的首下装甲防护方向机基座仅仅是个概率事件，并且在空对面起落架弹头的打击测试中仍会出现穿帧把整个首下铲掉的情况，因此，只有一个方向机基座，被摧毁就会飞头的A2型迎来了新的蜕变——KT8A3型步兵战车 除了防护以外，A3型在A2型的基础上加高了底盘，烟花弹由两个叠加的弹鼓同时发射更改为交替发射，减少了穿帧的情况，并且优化了烟花组件的视觉效果。
