在实战中发现，水上飞机的威力与生存能力只能说差强人意。如果要取得更多战果，我们必须在一次攻击中投入更多的飞机！第二次改装中我们拆除了原有的桅杆，铺设了飞行甲板，使弹射器增加至七座。同时我们扩大了机库容量，并增强了防空武器。另外，在实战中发现装甲对于水上飞机母舰的意义不大，为了减轻吨位拆除了部分装甲。
