CSRN自行设计研发并生产的第一艘超级战列舰，整体结构上参考了延安级，但采用了全新的舰体设计和装甲布置并增设了新的中口径防空炮。该舰在强化了船体装甲的同时减小了排水量，增加了机动性，使得该超级战列舰能以30节的高航速伴随航母编队作战。该舰一共建造了两艘，分别为大啵咕号和小啵咕号，后者将原本的460mm三联装舰炮更换为510mm舰炮
