基于13号战巡的航母改装方案，时间设定于1943～1944年 由于战争形势的不断恶化，在损失了近乎半数的航母后，海军将目光放在了因事故而中破的一艘战列巡洋舰上，企图改装为航空母舰来补充海军航空力量的损失。 改装借鉴了大量现有航母的设计，削减了大量装甲并修改了大量内部舱室以容纳两层机库来增加载机量。动力系统和水下防护则没有变动。
