航空战列舰康涅狄格号（BB-72）原型来自于战舰世界路易斯安娜号航空战列舰。在另一个架空世界线中，美国在蒙大拿级战列舰后续发展中的一种航空改造方案。康涅狄格在蒙大拿级的基础上拉长了主装甲带，增设飞行甲板和机库，换装更强的457毫米舰炮和76毫米防空炮。新型设计使其具备强大的对海火力和航空能力，巨大的机库内可以携带近60架二战时期的美国通用舰载机。但是受机库设计限制，无法携带战后更加庞大先进的大型喷气式飞机。在战后现代化改造后仅增加了一条弹射器用以测试小型舰载喷气式飞机。
