（纯架空）上世纪三十年代，随着沙俄霍斯特级服役，法国海军面临着空前的压力。为了保护海上交通线的顺畅，也为了应对德国愈发强大的海军与咄咄逼人的态度，法国人设计了以敦克尔克为首的一帮战舰。与此同时，舰载机科技迅速发展，再加上还有空余的航母吨位，航空战列舰这种新型舰种引起了法国海军的兴趣。这种舰种理论上能很好的完成海上破交/巡逻任务，另一方面，据传德国也有类似的计划。在理论推演后，法国人发现PA7方案装载的203mm火炮很难对沙恩霍斯特级，正在建造的俾斯麦级造成有效损伤，故此进行了重新设计（PA8），包括加大了火炮口径，拉长船体，采用大型舰载机，改良装甲等。其计划在1940年后建造。然而，随着...
