アシュトン男爵領で、新たな地下遺跡が発見された。 調査の結果、古代の魔法使いが使っていた研究所らしい。 内部には今も古い仕掛けや警備設備が残されている可能性がある。 そこで男爵から、中級冒険者であるキミたちへ指名依頼が出された。 依頼は研究所の探索と、最奥まで到達して内部の脅威を確認すること。 基本報酬は王国小銀貨60枚。発見した価値ある品も男爵家が買い取ってくれる。 さらに最初の発掘者への特典として、 見つけた品の中から一品だけ、自由に持ち帰ってよいらしい。
