This mod allows for comets to spawn at any time of the game and gives the impact craters +10 to food, production, science, and gold. It also increases the appeal of those tiles by +3. Expect a comet every 10 turns or so. Apocalypse mode must be enabled, but this mod also sets every other disaster...
