按照诛仙的设定修改了门派名称，分别为青云山、合欢派、焚香谷、鬼王宗、天音寺、万毒门、练血堂、长生堂。 为了与八荒本身设定的正道魔道门派的后缀保持一致，所以门派名称略做修改，如把正道天音寺改为须弥山（原作中天音寺位于须弥山），炼血堂改为练血教等。不过须弥山的普泓仍然是光头，青云山设定为剑修门派，宗主为青叶祖师，合欢派设定为水系功法为主，宗主为金玲夫人，以此类推。各宗主长老之间有交织的人际关系，比如青叶和金玲之间敌对关系，而金玲和魔道部分宗主之间又有道侣关系，等等。 各宗门逆天改命与门派背景有关，如青云山是七星剑瀑，鬼王宗为鬼修精通，万毒门为烟罗幻障，等。 开局新增气运平步青云（主角光环），...
