清乾隆四年（公元1739年）围棋国手范西屏，施襄夏于浙江平湖对弈，鏖战十局，互有胜负。二人“落子乃有仙气，此中无复尘机，是殆天授之能，迥非凡手可及”。 从棋局来看，关键之处杀发精谨，惊心动魄，可谓登峰造极，出神入化，将中国围棋的高远意境体现的淋漓尽致。“当湖十局”仍被认为是我国围棋古朴中的典范。 （已更新第五局，正在上传中）
