Kootenay Lake is a large lake in British Columbia. This map is the middle of Kootenay Lake and most of Slocan Lake in the 1880s. In the 1890s The N&S Railway (Canadian Pacific Railway) and the K&S (Great Northern Railway) were competing for the silver ore from the Silvery Slocan.
