• RRiz's CatbineHere I go again spending way too much time on the strangest ideas for HL2 mods. This time I take full blame on myself. I admit - it's stupid, it's weird, but also funy. I made it, and now you have to see it. This replaces the Civil Protection model with a custom design inspired by a doodle I made...32.0k downloadsupdated 16 mo ago
• EEnhanced Pre-Release Helicopterapparently the hunter chopper was supposed to have modeled propeller blades as seen in a pre-release screenshot. i found a model in the repo that HAS that modelled propeller and added it to the retail chopper. i modified the unused propeller texture so that it fits with the retail one and also br...19.7k downloadsupdated 23 mo ago
• SSomewhat Genuine Beta ThumpersI've had this idea for a while, but I only recently sat down and just did it. This brings the early Combine Restrictors from the leak into the retail HL2, implemented as best as I could. The small ones seen throughout the coast are the brush/model-mix thumpers from David Sawyer's wasteland maps....9.7k downloadsupdated 23 mo ago
• HHydraclestired of the gross fleshy sacks hanging from ceilings in your game? replace them with fancy, glowy jellyfish-lookin ones inspired directly by the cut Hydra enemy. replaces the model, textures, sounds and a particle effect. disclaimer: bloom effect added in post6.7k downloadsupdated 18 mo ago
• RRiz's Custom HunterSimilarly to my recent Manhack mod, I introduce my custom Hunters! Junkters, if you wish. These Hunters are fully mechanical, no endangered alien species harmed! (at least not through body modifications). bonus points if you can guess what game inspired this design. This is my very first TRUE del...6.5k downloadsupdated 23 mo ago
• QQuoth the Raven...Mine own mind was infiltrated at 3 A.M. upon the clock. In my head, a voice dictated - "you must do something to the crow. Make them chant a word," thus said he - "change the feel of Ravenholm." Thus, the moment I was ready, I made the crows shout "nevermore." • SSearchlight Striderrandom idea i had to implement real quick to get it out of my head gives striders a little lamp attachment on their minigun, which they can use like searchlights original upload:5.3k downloadsupdated 21 mo ago
• HHL:A-Style Forcefields (Alyx Emitters)This is my personal take on adapting the HL:A Combine forcefield into HL2. !!!IMPORTANT!!! This is the version that is designed to be used alongside HL:A COMBINE PROP REPLACEMENTS. If you like the look of HL:A's field emitters, use this one. If you prefer to keep it more vanilla, use this one: Or...5.3k downloadsupdated 21 mo ago
• EE3 2004 Style Cremator HeadAccording to E3 2004 footage the Cremator head in Eli's lab was just supposed to sit right on that little desk instead of within a jar. I made a little recreation of it using a model from the repo :}5.0k downloadsupdated 23 mo ago
• RRetailified Depotthe depot model used in hl2's coast and prison chapters is straight up taken from the wasteland in the leak. it has textures with baked lighting that do not fit the skybox and environment of retail, so i went in and re-baked the lighting to fit better. it's been bothering me for a bit. guess this...5.0k downloadsupdated 20 mo ago
• DDUNE-Style Combine Ornithopterneat little idea that came to me when i was making the pre-release heli now you can go through the canals with a big fuсking dragonfly hunting you it's a little wonky and the textures aren't very good, since i made it in like 3 hours, but i might go back and like, make it less bad4.8k downloadsupdated 23 mo ago
• 22003 Concept-Inspired CitadelThis is the official upload, and the most up-to-date version of this mod. Very few people talk about this one circa-2003 Citadel concept, but I am. And this happens to be my second favourite non-retail Citadel design. So I took it upon myself to do my best to (re)create it and put it in the game....4.8k downloadsupdated 22 mo ago
• LLeak-Inspired HopperSome 2003 maps have these little proto-hoppers in them. They're just pipe connectors with some logic that makes them make noise and explode when you're near. They don't even hop, actually. They just beep and explode when you come too close. Inspired by this, I made my own extremely simple brushwo...4.8k downloadsupdated 20 mo ago
• RRiz's Custom Hunter [BLUE EDITION]Similarly to my recent Manhack mod, I introduce my custom Hunters! Junkters, if you wish. These Hunters are fully mechanical, no endangered alien species harmed! • LLeak Combine CameraI haven't seen anyone do this yet, so here's a port of the Combine camera design from the leak. This is a weird little model that exists in the 2003 leak, appearing to be an older design of the Combine camera. Originally it is wall-mounted, but I went and shoved it into the body from the retail c...4.5k downloadsupdated 22 mo ago
• PProper "Temp" Combine MonitorsOne particular Combine prop started really bugging me after I'd noticed a problem with it, that being combine_monitor001temp.mdl. As you can see right in the model name, it is marked as a temporary prop, and I can't blame anybody at Valve for not noticing any problems with it, because they're so...3.6k downloadsupdated 10 mo ago
• RRiz's Custom StridersDing ding ding ding ding! The big bastard is here; a brother-unit to the Mechanical Hunters ( ) designed for demolition, leveling and total destruction! Again, no endangered alien species harmed in the production of this unit. It doesn't have gibs and just ragdolls when killed by energy balls or...3.4k downloadsupdated 17 mo ago
• RRe-edited Overwatch Voicethis aims to give the Overwatch Voice a bit of a more realistic and crisp reverberated feel. i made sure to make it sound slightly different between the locations you hear it in, too. Original GB upload + sound preview:3.3k downloadsupdated 23 mo ago
• SSomewhat Accurate 2003 ForcefieldsThis mod aims to somewhat faithfully port over the Combine forcefields seen in E3 2003. It replaces the main forcefield materials with the original shader used on the real ones, as well as the retail emitters to make more like brushwork / simplistic leak models. Unfortunately, there are some issu...3.0k downloadsupdated 18 mo ago
• CConcept Hunter-Chopper Recreation (FULL EDITION)The texture for the Hunter-Chopper used in the base game is made for a model based on a piece of concept art. My goal with this mod was to try and recreate the mesh that would fit the unused parts of the texture. It looks bald. This is the "full" edition, in which the full rotor spins - both the...2.9k downloadsupdated 20 mo ago
• RRiz's Expressive Overwatch VoiceHey look, I'm doing this thing again. This time it's just me, though - just my plain ol voice reading out the announcements with as much emphasis as I felt necessary. The result is fun. update 1: in retrospect, i was not happy with my performance on this mod, so i re-recorded all the voice lines,...2.9k downloadsupdated 21 mo ago
• RRiz's Big Ol' Strider SFXone day i stayed up until 4 a.m. making half of these, then i went and finished em the next day. this is my personal, modern take on the strider, with some elements and ideas lifted from HL:A. just without the, like, weird starwars-y sound design. Original GB upload + sound preview:2.8k downloadsupdated 23 mo ago
• LLegacy Advisor for EP2alright, that's enough cursed advisor stuff. here's something legit! I thought it'd be cool to witness the original HL2 design for the advisor in Episode 2, so I edited the model and (poorly) rigged it to the EP2 skeleton, so... this kinda works, I guess. For the materials, I used Maestra_Fenix's...2.8k downloadsupdated 23 mo ago
• VV8 Engine StriderRight, so I was messing around with some audio techniques and semi-accidentally created these. Now your striders will sound like revving V8 engines with a little strider ~flair~ Original GB upload + sound preview:2.5k downloadsupdated 23 mo ago
• MMore Accurate E3 2004 Combine LightI'm sure many of your have seen TwoTime's Pre-Release 2004 Combine Light mod ( It's a good take on the design, with how little reference we have of this particular model, however... it's not as accurate as it could be. Inspired by the most clear image we have of the light, being an automatically...2.4k downloadsupdated 10 mo ago
• SStrange Vintage HEV Suityeah, so this is a tiny little transitional mod before i go on and try to make something bigger now that i'm finally free for the summer. it makes the HEV sound almost like some sort of retrofuturistic piece of equipment, with a crappy TTS voice, clicky switches and little analog beeps and boops....2.2k downloadsupdated 23 mo ago
• DDirty EP2 Textures for CatbineMeant to be used alongside the original Catbine mod and placed ABOVE it in the priority list.2.0k downloadsupdated 18 mo ago
• RRiz's Muffled ZombiesI took the opportunity to scream into a pillow and make zombie sounds out of it. Now it's even more apparent that there's an alien latched to their face! Original GB upload + preview:2.0k downloadsupdated 23 mo ago
• RRiz's BEEFED UP Gravity Gundoes exactly what you think it does. OG upload + sound preview:1.9k downloadsupdated 20 mo ago
• RRetailified Combot (Alt. Skin)In short, this mod aims to paint an alternative timeline, in which the combot wasn't totally remade and replaced by the city scanner, but instead adapted into such. Basically, I ported over the original combot model, adjusted its animations, made all the blend animations work, edited the textures...1.8k downloadsupdated 10 mo ago
