1992年、所要時間の短縮とより高いサービスが提供できるように製造され、160km/hでの営業運転が可能な性能を有しています。 1992年に製造された先行試作車は速度向上試験を実施したのち、臨時の特急「雷鳥」として運用を開始し、 1995年から量産車の製造が開始され、京阪神と北陸を結ぶ特急「スーパー雷鳥(サンダーバード)」での運用を開始し、1997年から列車名称を「サンダーバード」に改称しました。 流線型特急列車をベースに、旧塗装の姿を再現しました。 よかったら評価をお願いします！ ※実際の車両とは異なる部分がございます。
