1989年に老朽化したキハ82の置き換えと所要時間短縮を目的に開発、 カミンズ社製のエンジンを搭載し電車並みの120km/hの著しい速度向上を成し遂げ、 特急「ひだ」「南紀」として活躍しました。 2023年に後継のHC85に置き換わる形で定期運用から撤退する予定です。 展望型特急列車をベースに、「ひだ」のヘッドマークを掲げた姿を再現しました。 よかったら評価をお願いします！ ※実際の車両とは異なる部分がございます。
