6050系-野岩鉄道会津鬼怒川線 6050系への更新途上において、運用車両が不足することから1985年に100番台1編成(61101F)が完全新造された。1986年には61102Fが新造され、野岩鉄道の開業に合わせて2編成とも東武鉄道から譲渡された。 ※車番は61101Fで収録。側面行先は「快速 (鬼怒川温泉)新藤原行き」です。
