都営6500系は都営三田線向けの新型車として2022年にデビューしました。相鉄新横浜線・東急新横浜線開業による都営三田線の利用者増加に伴う混雑緩和のため製造時より8両編成で導入されました。西高島平～新横浜でおもに運用されていますが、将来的に相鉄への直通も見据えた設計となっています。
