- Community AnnouncementsEnd of DevelopmentIt is high time for me to acknowledge that the development on Battlefleet Engineer ended already some years ago. The game will not leave Early Access. The price has been reduced accordingly. TimelineStarted: June 2012 Early Access launch: August 2017 Last update: July 2022 Total development: ~13 years (active work ended ~3 years ago)I started this when I was 23 and still learning to program wit...
- Community Announcements0.3.2207.6 Ship editing and testing improvements, merge from beta branchThis update focuses on improvements to make the ship blueprint editing and testing gameplay loop smoother. All existing changes from the beta branch are now also included in the main branch. New functionality: Added options for fleet test battle to reduce need for manually setting up a desired scenario every time. The level size, enemy fleet, and fleet deployment distance can be chosen from a n...
- Community AnnouncementsNew features in beta branchThe "development" beta branch has been updated to the current state of development, which includes few still work-in-progress but already pretty functional features. During 2021 the amount of time spent on development has been admittedly pretty low and the work has focused on the sandbox campaign mode, which is still quite far from a releasable product. New features: Added simple configuration...
- Community AnnouncementsWorkshop content usage hotfixFixed an issue that prevented playing some newer challenge levels and using ship blueprints downloaded from the workshop. These would show up in the game, but e.g. trying to add such ships to a level would just fail without any error message. The root cause was that the Steam workshop item IDs for new items are now larger numbers than what a 32-bit Integer can hold, which hasn't been an issue b...
- Community Announcements0.3.2004.04 Fleet generator tool and fixesThis minor update adds a handy fleet generator tool to the battle sandbox. It allows quickly adding randomly selected ships similar to the battle setup screen. The tool may get introduced to the fleet and battle editors later. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/30166125/3de3a388b746bf5b8b49caf1684acc0079c8f271.png Minor changes and fixes since previous patch notes: Changed large plasma projectile damage modeli...

- Star FortCompletely immobile station with robust structure. Fun to break apart! Base cost: 169,940 24 beam turrets. 24 gauss turrets. 40 missile launchers. 8 plasma turrets.93 downloads
- Heavy brawlerHeavily armored and shielded ship with multiple weapons platforms, optimized for short range engagements. Testing data from Varis Shipyards proves this ship will be one of the toughest in your fleet! Base cost: 40,540 7 beam turrets. 8 gauss turrets. 2 missile launchers. 12 plasma turrets. 2 supe...88 downloads
- GaussconeMy first serious agile "kiting" vessel with only supergauss cannons. Specialized for taking out tough capital ships, especially the infamous Heavy Brawler. Mobility is good in all directions. You need to carefully manage your maneuvering, power and heat. Base cost: 23,300 4 super gauss.72 downloads
- Cannon wallMassive array of super gauss cannons at the front and nothing else. A full broadside is enough to split most ships cleanly in half! Base cost: 144,400 24 super gauss. Made in version: 0.3.2002.1469 downloads
- Derstoryer Type-DA modification of the mainstay of the Green&Blue Dry Navy to make it the flagship of the fleet and a Type-D or a custom design for Der999. - New Gauss FighterAgile supergauss platform, actually corvette size. Beast of a ship. Base cost: 10,510 2 beam turrets. 2 super gauss.40 downloads
- The NightmareIt's name is an understatement. While it may look like a fortress, it's not. It's fast. Have fun cutting capital ships in half and melting through medium cruisers like a hot knife through butter. This beast is a one ship fleet. Base cost: 268,080 70 beam turrets. 52 gauss turrets. 28 missile laun...37 downloads
- LongbowA large ship that rips apart the most dangerous opponents with its long-range alpha strike. Base cost: 95,060 6 beam turrets. 68 missile launchers. 16 super gauss.33 downloads
- Death rayThis design demonstrates maximum medium beam weapon firepower. It is vulnerable to getting its thrusters shot off but if it gets close, the continuous damage output is sure to cut through anything pretty quickly. Base cost: 17,200 30 beam turrets.30 downloads
- Plasma streamPlasma weapons are meant to be burst fire only, limited by massive heat generation. To max out a single medium plasma gun (using default shot size) you need 10 radiators and 16.5 generators. Base cost: 26,200 4 plasma turrets.28 downloads
- AlbatrossBig. That is a good way to describe the Albatross. That's all. Just big. Base cost: 161,600 36 beam turrets. 48 gauss turrets. 18 missile launchers. 18 plasma turrets. 14 super gauss.27 downloads

- GoliathThe Goliath is designed for two things: destruction and survival. It has a devastating frontal supergauss barrage, and is capable of very high speeds compared to its collosal size and heavy armor. - Nightmare IIDesigned based on the Nightmare, the Nightmare II is a brute. It can withstand sustained fire and can destroy Capital Ships with it's horrifying array of 16 Supergauss cannons. Also, due to the better fuel placement, the ship will no longer spontaniously combust and shear in two. Base cost: 444,3...21 downloads
- Slicer IIIA modified version of The Slicer, the Slicer III is designed for use against heavy armor. Base cost: 113,320 76 gauss turrets. 48 plasma turrets. 18 super gauss.20 downloads

- WaspBase cost: 11,520 2 beam turrets. 2 gauss turrets. 2 plasma turrets. 2 super gauss.20 downloads
- Spike IIDespite it's size, the Spike II is not designed to be a capital ship. In fact it works the best in pairs. However, this doesn't mean you can't use it as one. With its layered armor and extensive loadout, this ship is a force to be reckoned with. Base cost: 101,190 8 beam turrets. 86 gauss turrets...20 downloads

Why Battlefleet Engineer mods break
A mod is compiled against one version of a game. When the game updates, anything that reached into the parts that moved stops working, and it usually stops working silently rather than with a message that explains itself.
That is what the table above counts. It is not a guess: each row is a mod the community has reported as broken by that specific release. The number is a fair measure of how disruptive an update was, and it is the reason people delay updating a game they have modded heavily.
Common questions
Does IndexGG host Battlefleet Engineer mods?
No, and it never will. Every download link points at the author's own page on Nexus, GitHub, CurseForge or wherever they published it. We index the ecosystem; the files stay with the people who made them.
Where does the compatibility data come from?
From the communities that maintain it in the open, not from guesswork. Each claim carries how it is known, so a reported breakage is never presented as though the author said it.
Why is a mod listed as broken when it works for me?
Compatibility depends on your exact game version and the rest of your load order. A mod marked as broken in one release may work fine on an older one, which is exactly why the version is recorded next to the claim rather than a bare yes or no.
