Škoda 706RTO LUX was the first RTO variant. Prototype was built in 1956 had a pair of front roof windows, vents with windows and some exhibition coaches had also windowed roof in the back. The standard LUX had high, luxurious seats and was used for long-distance travel or longer intercity routes.
