Dragon Age: Origins
Dragon Age: Origins is a third-person role-playing game described as a spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights franchises. Players create their own character by customizing gender and appearance as well as choosing a race and class. Combat is in real time with the ability to pause at any moment: tactical options include an editor which allows the player to give the AI detailed instructions on how to behave in every possible situation. Although the main storyline is the same for every character created, the game features six unique prologues, two for each race. Dragon Age: O

- Mods3.4kA mod changes the game itself. It needs something to load it, it may need other mods first, and it only works on the versions its author built it for.
- Frameworks65A framework is modding infrastructure rather than content: an API, injector or utility that other mods run on top of, or that helps you install, patch or manage them.
- Libraries41A library provides shared code other mods depend on rather than any content of its own. It is required, not optional, whenever something else lists it as a dependency.
- modpacks27A modpack is a curated set of mods, configuration and sometimes a world, shipped as one download and pinned to a single game version.

Why Dragon Age: Origins mods break
A mod is compiled against one version of a game. When the game updates, anything that reached into the parts that moved stops working, and it usually stops working silently rather than with a message that explains itself.
That is what the table above counts. It is not a guess: each row is a mod the community has reported as broken by that specific release. The number is a fair measure of how disruptive an update was, and it is the reason people delay updating a game they have modded heavily.
Common questions
Does IndexGG host Dragon Age: Origins mods?
No, and it never will. Every download link points at the author's own page on Nexus, GitHub, CurseForge or wherever they published it. We index the ecosystem; the files stay with the people who made them.
Where does the compatibility data come from?
From the communities that maintain it in the open, not from guesswork. Each claim carries how it is known, so a reported breakage is never presented as though the author said it.
Why is a mod listed as broken when it works for me?
Compatibility depends on your exact game version and the rest of your load order. A mod marked as broken in one release may work fine on an older one, which is exactly why the version is recorded next to the claim rather than a bare yes or no.
