1997年7月，海汽融资2000多万元购置了22辆“大富豪”和大宇牌豪华客车，冠名为“省汽快车”后更名为“海汽快车” 投入海南东、西线高速公路运营。外型包装美观大方、车厢豪华宽敞、配备航空式座椅，产生品牌轰动效应。目前，海汽快车已发展至330辆，营运线路由东、西线高速公路延伸到琼中、乐东等五指山腹地，贯通全省18个市县。
