- Community AnnouncementsBinary update v0.9.4Hi everyone ! We have a new version :) this time is a performance fix for older systems that reported low frame rates runing the game in OpenGL so we added back DX9 support. Now the game run fast even in my 10 years old notebook :D Please report any bug you find, ENJOY !! :)
- Community AnnouncementsBinary update 0.9.3There were two major bugs in our track editor (ThunderShop) basically creating new tracks or reloading textures produced a crash in the application. We received really useful feedback from a user that plays with 8 controllers in the same PC. In that context the game is quite difficult to setup so we did all the changes we could in order to make it easier. As always game design isn't easy since...
- Community AnnouncementsJoystick bugfixingWe've recompiled our input library (OIS) and tested successfully with 5 Joysticks at the same time, so 8 Joysticks should now work again. Also we found that in production the game behaves differently (buttons mapping changes) so we now have it working well out of the box and there is NO NEED to follow that "analog joystick" guide we've published some time ago. Just leave the configuration on st...
- Community AnnouncementsBinary update v0.9.1We've finished porting the game to the latest graphics engine version (Ogre3D) and to the latest compiler. This version should run about 37% faster in frame rate than the previous version. I know we don't need optimizations since this game is quite fast and smooth even on old graphics video cards but we needed to modernize our development tools. Full details here:

Why ThunderWheels mods break
A mod is compiled against one version of a game. When the game updates, anything that reached into the parts that moved stops working, and it usually stops working silently rather than with a message that explains itself.
That is what the table above counts. It is not a guess: each row is a mod the community has reported as broken by that specific release. The number is a fair measure of how disruptive an update was, and it is the reason people delay updating a game they have modded heavily.
Common questions
Does IndexGG host ThunderWheels mods?
No, and it never will. Every download link points at the author's own page on Nexus, GitHub, CurseForge or wherever they published it. We index the ecosystem; the files stay with the people who made them.
Where does the compatibility data come from?
From the communities that maintain it in the open, not from guesswork. Each claim carries how it is known, so a reported breakage is never presented as though the author said it.
Why is a mod listed as broken when it works for me?
Compatibility depends on your exact game version and the rest of your load order. A mod marked as broken in one release may work fine on an older one, which is exactly why the version is recorded next to the claim rather than a bare yes or no.
